<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make transmission of broadband optical signals possible, without installing a complicated optical circuit in an optical receiver. <P>SOLUTION: An optical receiver includes first and second generation units, a frequency compensation unit, and a coupling unit. The first generation unit generates from an optical signal having a reference signal inserted therein a first digital signal representing a signal component in a first partial band including the reference signal by making use of a first local emission. The second generation unit generates from the optical signal a second digital signal representing a signal component in a second partial band including the reference signal by making use of a second local emission. The frequency compensation unit adjusts the frequency of the signal component in the first partial band and the frequency of the signal component in the second partial band based on the frequency of the reference signal. The coupling unit couples the first and the second partial bands whose frequencies have been adjusted by the frequency compensation unit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
