PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately correct the density of an image formed by an image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus comprises: a γ correction part 62 that corrects image data on the basis of a γLUT; an image forming station 10 that forms images on the basis of the corrected image data; a density detection sensor 5 that measures a pattern image; a control part 30 that converts an output value from the sensor into a density on a sheet on the basis of a Table_1 and a Table_2 and creates a γLUT on the basis of the density on a sheet; and an operation part 80 that receives an input of information on the density of a test image determined by a user through visual observation. The control part 30 updates the Table_2 on the basis of the density information and an output value of the test image from the sensor.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8 |
