PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the power consumption of a display driver.SOLUTION: A display device comprises a display panel and a display driver for driving the display panel. The display driver communicates with a host by MIPI-DSI. The display driver comprises: an interface circuit that receives an external clock signal from the host via a clock lane, receives a data signal from the host via a data lane, and outputs reception data transmitted via the data signal; a control circuit that outputs an internal clock signal synchronized with the external clock signal; and a driving unit that drives the display panel according to image data included in the reception data while synchronizing with the internal clock signal. When the clock lane and the data lane are set to a high speed (HS) mode, the control circuit starts supplying the internal clock signal to the driving unit depending on a type of reception packet included in the reception data.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
