PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless power transmission system and a wireless power transmission method capable of carrying out electric power transmission under optimum conditions.SOLUTION: The wireless power transmission system includes: plural power transmission units 1A and 1B; and plural power reception units 2A to 2E which are capable of communicating with the plural power transmission units, for performing electric power transmission from the power transmission unit to the power reception unit in a wireless manner by utilizing magnetic field resonance or electric field resonance. One power transmission unit in the plural power transmission units is set as a master power transmission unit 1A, and the other power transmission unit 1B is set as a slave power transmission unit. The master power transmission unit controls the plural power transmission units and the at least one power reception unit to perform the electric power transmission.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6A
