HAMMER HEAD AND HANDLE ASSEMBLY There is provided a method of making a hand tool. The method comprises the steps of forming a head (18) having a handle recess and a working face; mounting a plurality of rods (102) in the handle recess of the head (18); mounting a plurality of spacer plates (110) on the rods (102) at spaced locations; heating the rods (102); and encasing the rods (102) within a handle material while the rods (102) are heated so as to form a handle that encloses the rods (102) and that is mounted to the head (18).
