摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To alleviate driver's discomfort resulting from a fluctuation in a braking force of an engine brake in the middle of deceleration fuel cut.SOLUTION: A vehicle deceleration controller comprises: fuel cut control means halting the supply of fuel to an engine 10 from a fuel supply system (injector 21) during vehicle deceleration; deceleration-time EGR control means recirculating exhaust gas recirculation by an EGR system (high-pressure EGR system 51) for predetermined time since start of fuel cut, and stopping recirculating the exhaust gas after passage of the predetermined time; and fluctuation suppressing means suppressing a possible fluctuation in a braking force when the deceleration-time EGR control means stops recirculating the exhaust gas if an automatic transmission 94 is in a specific range in the middle of the fuel cut.
