摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat insulating structure for a hot water storage tank that enables prevention of heat release from a connecting portion even when using a vacuum heat insulating material that is easy to handle.SOLUTION: This structure includes: a hot water storage tank 7 for storing hot water heated by heating means; an outer case surrounding the hot water storage tank; a vacuum heat insulating material that is disposed in a space opposing to the side surface of the hot water storage tank between the hot water storage tank and the outer case to insulate heat of the hot water storage tank; and a foamed heat insulating material that is disposed in a space opposing to the upper surface side and bottom surface side of the hot water storage tank. An outer edge 29 to which a covering material 28 is welded is arranged at an approximately center in the thickness direction of the vacuum heat insulating material on the outer periphery of the vacuum heat insulating material. The thickness of a foamed heat insulating material end 31 is made a half or less of the thickness of the vacuum heat insulating material, and an inclined surface 32 is arranged on the foamed heat insulating material center side from the foamed heat insulating material end and in the direction opposing to the hot water storage tank, to form a space 33 between the hot water storage tank and the inclined surface. Within the space, the outer edge is fixed to the hot water storage tank, so as to facilitate work for attaching the vacuum heat insulating material and enhance heat insulating performance.
