The rotor (1) has a shaft mounted rotatably in a frame, bearing, on a free end zone, a hub to which the blade is fixed. The blade zone is remote from the hub and has a mechanical resonator, the eigen frequency of which is the same as the resonance frequency of the blade to be suppressed. The resonator has a mass moving reciprocally around a middle position in the plane. The mass moves guided in a curved path, the middle zone of which has the greatest distance from the rotation axis of the rotor. During rotor rotation, the centrifugal force acting on the mass is partially provided by the force driving the mass back to the rest position defined by the middle zone.
