A field to which a right to be appraised belongs is specified, and a group of rights belonging to the field is extracted. The negotiatabilities of the individual rights of the right group are relatively evaluated to rank the right group. According to this method, the negotiatability of a right such as a patent at the current point in time can be properly appraised while considering the influence which may be received from another right.
