PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rear suspension device for a vehicle capable of heightening the anti-rollover (overturn) characteristic of the vehicle without changing the tread. SOLUTION: The rear suspension device is equipped with an axle housing 10, a pair of upper control arms 11 and 12, and lower control arms 13 and 14. The axle housing 10 is supported rotatably by other ends 11b-14b of the arms 11-14 and supported rotatably on the vehicle body at one-side ends 11a-14a. The rotational axes of the arms 11 and 13 at their ends 11a, 13a, 11b, 13b become higher from the left to right in the direction across the vehicle width. The rotational axes of the arms 12 and 14 at their ends 12a, 14a, 12b, 14b become higher from the right to left in the direction across the vehicle width. It may also be acceptable that a leaf spring is used whose laminating direction is inclined from the vehicle up-down direction to the direction across the vehicle width. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
