PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive compact container for which assembly work is facilitated. SOLUTION: The compact container is provided with a container body 1 and a lid body 2 whose rear end part is freely turnably hinge-connected to the rear end part of the container body 1. Then, a recessed part 12 is formed on at least one of the upper surface of the container body 1 and the lower surface of the lid body 2, and a rubber elastic member 13 is fixed to the recessed part 12 in the state of projecting the upper end part from the recessed part 12. In the state of covering the upper surface of the container body 1 with the lid body 2, the upper end part of the rubber elastic member 13 is abutted to the other of the upper surface of the container body 1 and the lower surface of the lid body 2 in a pressurizing manner.
