PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple method for preserving cut flower by omitting preliminary liquid substitution and washing steps and merely immersing it in a single liquid and then air-drying it, despite the fact that methods for preserving cut flower for a long period have been known so far. SOLUTION: The method for preserving a cut flower comprises immersing the flower portion of a live flower in a specific immersing solution. In this method, the compounding ratio of polyethylene glycol to a lower alcohol in the immersing solution is set within a given range, thereby enabling the preliminary liquid substitution and washing steps be omitted.
