<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an uncompressing circuit, uncompressing method of the data and printer which can recognize the break of one raster at the time of expanding the compressed data even if inputting from an external device the compressed data for printing which includes a plurality of rasters. <P>SOLUTION: When the printer receives a compressed printing data, the uncompressing circuit 38 expands the compressed data Dcomp and outputs it to a controller 39 of the developed data Ddep. At this time, if receiving the compressed data Dcomp composed of a plurality of rasters, a control circuit 42 in the controller 39 counts the number of data of the developed data Ddep by a counter 43. If the control circuit 42 finds the break of one raster with a count of the counter 43, the circuit designates the address for storing a next one raster data and stores the next one raster data in the designated address.
