<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which can detect improper connection only by use of one analog port even for PCB boards having a same appearance and a same hardware configuration and storing a different program. <P>SOLUTION: In a model A, if PCB boards 100 and 200 are connected, output from the PCB board 200 is in a range of 2.731 to 2.711 V, and a program for determining about that is stored in the PCB board 100. However, if a program to be stored in the model D is included in the PCB board 100, the PCB board 100 detects improper connection by deciding that an unintended PCB board is connected because a voltage value input from the PCB board 200 is a different value, since the PCB board 100 includes a program for determining normality upon detecting voltage of 1.667 to 1.634 V. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
