A method for making articles from material based on siliceous binding agent consists in mixing activated quartz sand, binding agent with grains of size to 1.25 mm, filler, alkaline component, water, shaping articles of obtained material with subsequent autoclave processing. As binding agent the quartz glass of fractions of 0.315-0.63 mm and 0.63-1.25 mm is taken, and as filler milled quartz sand and natural sandstone are taken which are mixed in the dry state, and thereafter tempered with alkaline solution, and autoclave treatment of articles is performed for 12 hours at the pressure of saturated vapor of 1.2 MPa, at that the quartz sand is activated by natural sandstone in the process of joint grounding to the specific surface of 300-350 m2/kg.
