PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a liquid ejector which can prevent stain with a liquid ejected from an ejecting part and deviated from a medium, by a simple configuration, and to achieve a liquid ejecting system. SOLUTION: The liquid ejector comprises (a) the ejecting part which ejects the liquid to the medium, (b) a supporting part which supports the medium, (c) a groove in which the liquid ejected from the ejecting part and not struck on the medium is struck, and which has a first part and a second part located farther from the supporting part than the first part and shallower than the first part, and (d).
