PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microwave exothermic composite material in which a heated body can be heated rapidly and uniformly. SOLUTION: This is the microwave exothermic composite material containing a microwave absorbing material made of silicon carbide-based powders and a binder made of hydrating silicate glass. As the silicon carbide-based powders, Si-Zr-C-O, a complex oxide composed of Si-Zr-C-O, orβ-SiC is adopted. Moreover, whenβ-SiC is contained as the silicon carbide-based powders, the binder forms a matrix in the microwave exothermic composite material, and it is dispersed into the matrix.
