FUSE ELEMENT AND TWISTING METHOD OF SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuse element 1 which does not break due to the deformation generated on the fuse element 1 of a wire fuse 10 by an influence of Joule heat; and to provide a manufacturing method of the fuse element 1. SOLUTION: A stress generated on the fuse element 1 due to expansion and contraction by thermal expansion is relaxed by making a small-current meltdown part B of the fuse element 1 to take a spiral relaxing shape. The fuse element and an axis are inserted into holding fixtures to hold parallelly the fuse element and the linear axis such that the range of forming the relaxing shape exposes from both ends of the fuse element and the axis, and the one holding fixture is rotated centered on the axis against the other holding fixture to form the relaxing shape.
