PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric connector for small high-speed transmission interface which is a connector of a friction type and improves a friction lock mechanism and EMI characteristic provided with stable fitting holding force. SOLUTION: The connector connected to an opposite connector includes a contact 15, a housing 14 for holding and fixing the contact 15, and a shell 11 for covering them. A recessed part 1a provided on the shell 11 has a bottom. When a lock part 23a and the recessed part 1a are latched, fitting of the connectors are locked. Furthermore, when the lock part 23a is in contact with a bottom 2a of the recessed part 1a, the lock part 23a and the shell 11 are electrically connected. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
