PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a POS (point of sales) register capable of easily, correctly and cumulatively adding the number of points of a member customer without needing an excessive operation during payment even when the customer does not carry a membership card. SOLUTION: A prescribed identification number is printed as a barcode on a receipt on which a purchase amount or the like is printed, the receipt is issued on paying for purchased merchandise (S9), and the identification number is associated with transaction data such as the purchase amount and stored in a second storing means (S10). When the member customer not carrying the membership card on paying for the purchased merchandise visits the store again with the issued receipt and the membership card, the identification number of the barcode is read from the receipt (S12), corresponding transaction data are read from the second storing means (S14), and points of the previous payment calculated (S15) from the read transaction data are cumulatively added to points of the member customer specified by the membership card (S16).
