<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing device, a bookbinding system, and a program for generating a proper cover print output data according to the spine width of a bound material. <P>SOLUTION: This image processing device 10 transmitting output data for printing a front cover of a printed matter to an image formation means is provided with a layout processing means 60 acquiring a spine width of the printed matter, defining a spine cover print area 208 according to the acquired spine width, and disposing spine cover data for printing on the spine cover to the spine cover print area to generate the output data.
