<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means of improving a precision of a subject recognition in a moving image processed by image processing. Ž<P>SOLUTION: An image processing device has a data reading portion, a memory, and a subject recognition portion. The data reading portion reads a first image file including a plurality of still images successive in a time axis direction and a second image file including moving images generated by performing image processing to the still images. The memory stores characteristic data indicating a characteristic of a subject which becomes a recognition object. The subject recognition portion recognizes a subject from an image by using the characteristic data. The subject recognition portion performs recognition processing of the subject to the still images of the first image file when the second image file is designated as an object of the recognition processing.
