PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing system capable of reducing processing time by performing face detection of a predicted size.SOLUTION: The image processing system for processing an image obtained from imaging means of an imaging optical system includes: distance information generating means for generating distance information separately for each area of the image; and subject detecting means for detecting a predetermined subject for each size from the image.
