PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide production methods of producing polymers with high quality and less coloring, to provide production methods of organic acids suitable for the object, and to provide microorganisms for producing the organic acids.SOLUTION: A method of producing organic acid-containing polymer comprises a step of performing a polymerization reaction using as a raw material an organic acid obtained by reacting with an organic raw material a microorganism that is modified so as to reduce the production of aromatic carboxylic acid as compared with a non-modified strain, or a treated material thereof, the microorganism having organic acid productivity.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
