PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metallic gasket capable of forming a wide contact width to a counterpart seal face, and achieving high sealability even when a blow hole is generated on the counterpart seal face.SOLUTION: In a metallic gasket 1 in which a bead portion 3 kept into contact with a counterpart seal face to form a seal region is disposed on a gasket body 2, the bead portion 3 has a circular arc-shaped portion 31 projecting toward the counterpart seal face, and hem raising portions 32 disposed on both hem portions of the circular arc-shaped portion 31 in a state of obliquely raising from the gasket body 2 toward the circular arc-shaped portion 31. A connection region of the circular arc-shaped portion 31 and the hem raising portions 32 are formed so as to project toward a projecting side of the bead portion 3, plastic strain over the whole width of the circular arc-shaped portion 31 is lower than the connection region 34, and a distribution of surface pressure of the circular arc-shaped portion 31 in a compressed state has the flat wide shape over the width direction of the circular arc-shaped portion 31.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
