An electrical contact pair (1) has a first electrical contact (11), a second electrical contact (12), and a contact section (13). The first electrical contact (11) is provided with a first Ag-Sn alloy layer (113) above a first electroconductive parent material (111), and a first Ag layer (114) layered on the surface of the first Ag-Sn alloy layer (113), the first Ag layer (114) being exposed on the outermost surface. The second electrical contact (12) has a second Ag-Sn alloy layer (123) above a second electroconductive parent material (121), and a second Ag layer (124) layered on the surface of the second Ag-Sn alloy layer (123), the second Ag layer (124) being exposed on the outermost surface. In the contact section (13), contact is maintained between the surface of the first Ag layer (114) in the first electrical contact (11) and the surface of the second Ag layer (124) in the second electrical contact (12). The contact pressure applied to the contact section (13) is 630 N/mm2 or less.
