摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively prevent oxidation of carbon in a refractory at a refractory operation face side in preheating before start of use or immediately after the use of a container for high temperature in which a carbon-containing refractory is applied to an operation face and which holds a high-temperature molten material of 500°C or higher.SOLUTION: In a manufacturing method of a container 1 for high temperature constituted by applying a refractory to the inside of a metallic outer shell 2 and holding a molten material of high temperature of 500°C or higher, a carbon-containing refractory 4 in which 3 mass% or more of carbon is blended, is applied to an inner face kept into contact with the molten material of high temperature, of the container for high temperature, and a coating layer 5 of sodium silicate is formed on a surface of the carbon-containing refractory by applying a sodium silicate solution diluted by water, including SiOand NaO of a mass ratio (SiO/NaO) of 3 or more and 4 or less, and having viscosity of 0.5 Pa s or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
