An image forming apparatus includes a photoreceptor, a charging unit, an exposing unit, a developing unit, a transfer unit, a lubricant supply unit, a cleaning unit and a lubricant removal unit. The lubricant supply unit supplies a lubricant to a surface of the photoreceptor and is disposed at a point which is an upstream side of the cleaning unit and a downstream side of the developing unit in a rotation direction of the photoreceptor. The lubricant removal unit removes the lubricant from the surface of the photoreceptor and is disposed at a point which is the downstream side of the cleaning unit and the upstream side of the developing unit in the rotation direction of the photoreceptor. |

1. An image forming apparatus comprising:
a photoreceptor; a charging unit which charges the photoreceptor; an exposing unit which exposes the charged photoreceptor, thereby forming an electrostatic latent image; a developing unit which develops the electrostatic latent image with a toner, thereby forming a toner image; a transfer unit which transfers the toner image formed on the photoreceptor; a lubricant supply unit which supplies a lubricant to a surface of the photoreceptor; a cleaning unit which removes the toner remaining on the surface of the photoreceptor; and a lubricant removal unit which removes the lubricant from the surface of the photoreceptor, wherein the lubricant contains an organic lubricant and an inorganic lubricant, the lubricant supply unit is disposed at a point which is an upstream side of the cleaning unit and a downstream side of the developing unit in a rotation direction of the photoreceptor, and the lubricant removal unit is disposed at a point which is the downstream side of the cleaning unit and the upstream side of the developing unit in the rotation direction of the photoreceptor. |
