PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus that processes a large number of photographic images, and when an athlete's number is unclear, quickly associates the athlete with the athlete's number among the photographic images.SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus comprises: a time-series image comparison part that compares an object image to be processed with a preceding reference image or a subsequent reference image continuing in time series according to processing order determined by an image sorting part; and identification information association part that associates the object image with the preceding reference image or the subsequent reference image before association by an identification information recognition part on the basis of a result of the comparison performed by the time-series image comparison part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
