PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct a defect associated with air-fuel mixture blown back to an intake port in an internal combustion engine in which a valve closing timing of an intake valve can be set after the intake bottom dead center.SOLUTION: An ECU is a control device for controlling an internal combustion engine in which a valve closing timing of an intake valve can be set after the intake bottom dead center. The ECU determines an adhesion fuel quantity Fa of fuel adhering to an intake port when air-fuel mixture is blown back to the intake port after the intake bottom dead center, determines a flow-in fuel quantity Fi of fuel entering a cylinder when intake air flows in from the intake port, and corrects a fuel injection quantity on the basis of the adhesion fuel quantity Fa and the flow-in fuel quantity Fi. |
