<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treating waste, capable of making products harmless and further decreasing air leak amount and air amount carried by associated gas as much as possible when wastes containing various harmful substances are subjected to pyrolyzing treatment. SOLUTION: A waste treating system comprises a pretreating system 11, a pyrolyzing oven 12, a gas reformer 13, a gas-purifying device 14 and a gas reformer 13. This method for treating wastes comprises mixing an organic halogen compound into a pyrolyzed gas, reacting the halogen compound with NH3 and solidifying NH3 as halogen ammonium cyanide in a gas reforming step using the gas reformer 13 of the waste treating system.</p> |
