METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR TREATING LIQUID CONTAINING CHEMICAL SUBSTANCE HAVING HORMONE-LIKE ACTIVITY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To immediately confirm the treatment state of a chemical substance in a method and apparatus for treating a chemical substance having hormone- like activity contained in a liquid to be treated and to properly control the treatment condition of the chamical substance on the basis of the confirmed result. SOLUTION: This apparatus has a monitoring device 30 for detecting a chemical substance having a benzene ring contained in a liquid to be treated to monitor the same and, on the basis of the monitoring result of the chemical substance having the benzene ring by the monitoring device 30, the treatment condition of the chemical substance having hormone-like activity is controlled. The monitoring device 30 is constituted of a sampling device 32 for sampling a part of the liquid to be treated as a specimen, a concentrator 34 for concentrating the chemical substance having the benzene ring in the sampled specimen and a detector for detecting the chemical substance having the benzene ring in the sampled specimen.
