The invention relates to a method of electrically connecting connection tracks (58) from a display module (10) to contacts (38). The display module (10) comprises a base board (40) made of insulating material and with connection tracks (58) and an electro-optical display device (68, 70) placed on the upper surface (48) thereof. Said display device is electrically connected to the connection tracks (58). The inventive method is characterised by the following steps: positioning the contacts (38) under the base board (40); drilling holes (54) in the board (40), which pass through the base board (40) and emerge at the contacts (38); making electrical connections between the connection tracks (58) and the contacts (38) through the holes (54). The invention also relates to a display module (10) and a chip card comprising electrical connections made using said method.
