PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable to obtain a luminance of a given value or more at a given high-temperature atmosphere.

SOLUTION: The emergency light lighting device 1 is provided with an emergency lighting circuit 6 connected to a battery 5 at stoppage of an alternate current power source Vs and lighting a light-emitting diode 4 with power fed from the battery, and a control means 8 for controlling an output of the emergency lighting circuit 6 at a constant power by augmenting forward current IF flowing in the light-emitting diode 4 in accordance with forward voltage VF so that a luminance of the given value or more is obtained by light emitted from the light-emitting diode 4 when the forward voltage of the light-emitting diode 4 is below a preset value Va.
