PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small rivet mounting device which is easy to handle and can mount lots of rivets on a rivet retaining band continuously and securely. SOLUTION: The invented rivet mounting device comprises a hopper 11, a chute 14, a rivet wheel 15, a thrusting member 42 and a sprocket 36. The hopper 11 holds the rivets at random. The chute 14 connecting with the hopper 11 guides the rivets held in the hopper 11, to the delivery position on the rivet wheel 15. The rivet wheel 15 stows the rivets one by one from the lower end of the chute 14 into each of a plurality of slots 29 formed on the periphery of a collar while the rivet wheel 15 rotates. The thrusting member 42 is placed in opposition to the outer periphery of the rivet wheel 15 and thrusts the rivets stowed in the slots 29 of the rivet wheel 15, into notches 37 of the rivet retaining band 36 guided along the rivet wheel 15. The sprocket 35 feeds the rivet retaining band 36 while the sprocket 35 engages with engaging holes 38 formed on the trunk 27 of the rivet wheel 15 in the direction of the length of the rivet retaining band 36.
