PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drum type washing machine which is reduced in the depth of the whole though the drum is in a front-raised slanted state and may stabilize an open state of the door. SOLUTION: A door 37 is slanted in an angle different from that of a front face part 11a of a drum 11, so as to suppress projection of a lower part of a door 37 corresponding to the slant of the front face part 11a of the drum 11, and a load in a closing direction on the opened door 37 by the door's own weight is made reduced.
