PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope apparatus and its manufacturing method by which outer-layer braided tubes of a curve part and a flexible tube are formed into separate bodies without increasing the outside diameter and the axial length of a cap part, and the outer-layer braided tubes having specifications suited to the respective portions are disposed. SOLUTION: An insertion tube 2 is provided with a hard distal end body part having an imaging element, the curve part 16 disposed at the rear end side of the distal end body part and freely curving to face the distal end body part in an intended direction, the narrow and long flexible tube 17, an outer-layer metal braided tube (outer-layer braided tube) 18 having flexibility and knitted with fine lines to cover the flexible tube 17, and a tubular distal end side cap (mouth ring part) 20 connecting the curve part 16 to the flexible tube 17, in this order from the distal end side. The outer-layer metal braided tube 18 is covering over an inner-layer resin 28 for protecting the flexible tube 17 and securing sliding performance with a subject and integrally fixed to the flexible tube 17 at the distal end side of the flexible tube 17 and the rear end side.
