PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic explosive loading device and an explosive loading method capable of attaining labor saving in a shortened operation time by automating and simplifying operations, and improving safety by minimizing operations near a blast hole. SOLUTION: The automatic explosive loading device 1 which is disposed on a frame 15 of a drill jumbo 15 comprises a loading pipe 31 provided so as to protrude and retract in the charging direction X of a parent die D. The position of the blast hole 3 is stored in a control mechanism 50 as blast hole information. The frame 15 is moved in reference to the blast hole information so that the loading pipe 31 concentrically faces the blast hole 3 to supply the parent die D to a loading position R of the loading pipe 31, the loading pipe 31 is then moved to the deepest part 3b of the blast hole 3 while engagingly locking the parent die D to the inside of the tip 31a of the loading pipe 31, and an additional die M is forcibly fed into the loading pipe 31 while pulling out the loading pipe 31.
