METHOD OF MANUFACTURING HEAT EXCHANGER AND HEAT EXCHANGER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely dispose a brazing filler metal between a tube insert hole and a tube to be brazed to attain improvement in brazing efficiency and reduction in process, by forming a layer of the brazing filler metal on the outside of burring formed in the tube insert hole while boring the brazing filler metal by a boring tool simultaneously with the formation of the tube insert hole in a header. SOLUTION: In a heat exchanger manufacturing process for connecting the tube to the header 2 of a heat exchanger using the brazing filler metal 8, the brazing filler metal 8 formed in a sheet shape is superposed on the header 2. A number of tube insert holes 6 are formed in the header 2 together with the brazing filler metal 8 by a press boring tool 16. By this, the burring 6a and the layer of the brazing filler metal 8 are formed simultaneously on the tube insert hole 6. The tube 1 is then inserted to the tube insert hole 6 and brazed in a furnace.
