PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin crown type cage and a ball bearing, which enhances rigidity of a claw part to restrain surely the claw part from being deformed by centrifugal force, and rotates smoothly a ball of a rolling element over a long period. SOLUTION: The ball bearing is provided with: the resin crown type cage 24 formed with a pocket 29 for storing the balls 23. Recesses 27 are formed, on an axial one end face 26 of an annular cage main body 25, to be arranged with a prescribed pitch along a circumferential direction. The pair of claw parts 28 are provided to be projected from an opening end opposed to the circumferential direction of the recess 27. The pocket 29 is formed of the recess 27 and the paired claw parts 28. A radial thickness is 45% or more of the diameter of the ball 23. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
