<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid ejecting head and a liquid ejecting apparatus in which the burden on the environment is reduced, which have high insulation properties, and in which leak current is suppressed, and a piezoelectric element. <P>SOLUTION: A liquid ejecting head includes a pressure generating chamber communicating with a nozzle opening and a piezoelectric element including a piezoelectric layer and an electrode provided on the piezoelectric layer. The piezoelectric layer is composed of a complex oxide that has a perovskite structure containing bismuth and iron, and includes at least one kind of first dopant element selected from a group consisting of sodium, potassium, calcium, and strontium and at least one kind of second dopant element selected from a group consisting of manganese, titanium, vanadium, niobium, and tin. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
