<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric material which uses K<SB POS="POST">x</SB>Na<SB POS="POST">(1-x)</SB>NbO<SB POS="POST">3</SB>as a base material, is not harmful to the environment, and is excellent in productivity while retaining practicable piezoelectric characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: The piezoelectric material comprises a sintered compact and is obtained by adding a Zn-based glass containing ZnO in largest quantity and Fe<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O<SB POS="POST">3</SB>to a compound represented by general formula: K<SB POS="POST">x</SB>Na<SB POS="POST">(1-x)</SB>NbO<SB POS="POST">3</SB>(wherein 0.02≤x≤0.5). More preferably, in the piezoelectric material, the Zn-based glass and the Fe<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O<SB POS="POST">3</SB>are each added in a mass ratio of >0 and ≤1.0 wt.%. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
