<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a doctor device that can obtain a stable thick coating film, without affecting the deflection amount of the doctor blade, even if the disturbance acts on the doctor holder in the gravure coating apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The doctor device includes the doctor holder that holds a doctor blade that scratches and drops the coating liquid that is held against the gravure roll and supplied to the surplus on a gravure roll surface, and a weight adding means holding the doctor blade to the gravure roll is connected to the doctor holder.
