PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save time and labor by obtaining a software configuration of a necessary version by only copying to a hard disk to be copied to when selectively installing software having different versions of images in a plurality of hard disks of copy sources. SOLUTION: In a hard disk management method, by preparing the plurality of the hard disks having software of mutually different versions stored therein, one of the above hard disks is selected, and the image constituted of a bit string in the selected hard disk 11 is transferred and stored into a single hard disk 21.
