PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a current generator capable of suppressing a glitch generated when a current range is switched. SOLUTION: The current generator is provided with: a detection circuit 13 for detecting a terminal voltage of a shunt resistor RS1 selectively switched from a shunt resistor RS2 which is any one of a plurality of shunt resistors RS1 to RS3; a feedback circuit 14 for feeding back the terminal voltage detected by the detection circuit 13; and an operational amplifier A2 for transiting an operation area of a shunt resistor changing switch SW03 corresponding to the shunt resistor RS1 to an active area on the basis of the terminal voltage fed back through the feedback circuit 14 and outputting a control voltage for controlling an output current Io flowing into the shunt resistor RS1 to an output current Io allowed to flow into the shunt resistor RS2 to a control terminal of the shunt resistor changing switch SW03.
