PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head-up display device which can suppress the color unevenness of a display image and simultaneously can render the visibility of the display image excellent. SOLUTION: The head-up display device is provided with: a first light source 23 emitting green light L1; a second light source 24 emitting red light L2; a dichroic mirror 29 transmitting the green light L1 and reflecting the red light L2; and a transmission type display element 21 illuminated by illumination light L3 including the green light L1 and the red light L2, the head-up display device irradiates a front glass 13 with display light L emitted from the transmission type display element 21 and allows a user 14 to visually recognize the display image V obtained by the irradiation. Each of the green light L1 and red light L2 emitted from the first and second light sources 23 and 24 is configured to enter the dichroic mirror 29, in such a state that each of them is made into a nearly parallel luminous flux, and a diffusion member 201 is disposed between the dichroic mirror 29 and the transmission type display element 21.
