PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile information processing apparatus which prepares a shock resistance function when a data recording device that requires a shock resistance function is mounted and which does not prepare a shock resistance function when a data recording device that does not require a shock resistance function is mounted. SOLUTION: A mobile information processing device 10 includes a determination processing part 21 which determines whether the data recording device mounted on the mobile information processing apparatus is a data recording device that requires a shock resistance function or a data recording device that does not require a shock resistance function; and a shock resistance function validation processing part 22 which carries out the processing for validating the shock resistance function when the determination processing part determines that a data recording device which requires a shock resistance function is mounted, and which does not carry out the processing for validating the shock resistance function when the determination processing part determines that a data recording device which does not require a shock resistance function is mounted.
