PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a probability of optical packet cancellation in an optical packet switching system.

SOLUTION: An optical packet switching device 12 comprises: a first input unit 62 and a second input unit 63 for receiving optical packet signals having destination information and use wavelength information; an optical switch unit 60 for switching routes of the optical packet signals; a branching unit for branching the received optical packet signals; an analysis unit for analyzing a header of the branched optical packet signals to detect the destination information and the use wavelength information; and an output contention determination unit 79 for determining time conflict in the optical packet signals based on their destination information, and when there is conflict, determining whether to pass or cancel the optical packet signals based on the use wavelength information.
