PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide power source for a vehicle and vehicle brake control device for deciding lowering of air pressure of wheels by detecting brake torque. SOLUTION: In these power source for the vehicle and vehicle brake control device, a wheel angular acceleration detection means for detecting angular acceleration of the prescribed wheel is provided. A controller is provided with: a braking force/driving force control means for controlling an output of the power source so that driving force may be increased when the vehicle does not slip and controlling the power source and the wheel brake so that the angular velocity acceleration of the prescribed wheel may be zero by adding the braking force balanced with the driving force; and an air pressure lowering detection means for detecting lowering of tire air pressure of the prescribed wheel, based on driving torque added to a driving wheel by the output of the power source and brake torque detected by a brake torque sensor when the angular acceleration of the prescribed wheel is controlled to be zero by the braking force/driving force control means.
