PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mixer which can adopt a large-sized inspection door for easy and suitable maintenance operation. SOLUTION: A side wall 2a in parallel with the mixing shaft 3 of a mixing tank 2 is disposed lower in the downward by a determined height than the side wall 2b of a bearing side to form a step, while a cover-body side wall 8a in the upper part of the mixing-tank side wall 2a in parallel with the mixing shaft 3 is extended downward by the length of the step to enlarge an area and the cover-body side wall 8a with the enlarged area has an openable/closable, inspection door 10 with a large size over nearly total width of the side wall 8a. Then, the inspection door 10 is rotatably opened and closed upward and downward while keeping the upper end part of the inspection door pivoted on the cover-body side wall 8a so that the door can be freely opened and closed with comparatively small force, and also has an energizing means such as a gas spring 12 for energizing the inspection door 10 in the opening direction.
